Just like everywhere, though, there are good apples and bad apples. But yes, on the whole, this is the main reason why Toronto is 'broke' !! (other then the fact they pay 500% more for their waste disposal then previously, but that is another story [Plasma Gasification is the solution!!]) And why GM has to cut costs. Unions have KILLED everything. There was a time and place for them, back in the 30's - 50's, but not now. We live in a global market, and when other countries supply us with goods FAR cheaper (i use cheap for two meanings; inexpensive and low quality), and the unions still suck out the bottom line for the company, they are forced to put the prices higher.
